Do you work in conservation areas and listed homes?
Yes. Much of our work sits in the Jesmond, Brandling Village and Corbridge conservation areas, including a Grade II listed hall and stairwell on Brandling Park. Splicing keeps the original box frame, glass and mouldings, so the elevation looks exactly as it did, and we talk through any consent questions at the survey.
How do you handle old lead paint?
We test suspect pre-1960s coatings before work starts. Where lead is found we never dry-sand or burn it off: we strip it wet or chemically, mask and seal the room, and clean down with HEPA extraction at the end of every day.
What written guarantee do I get?
Every decorating job carries the 2-year written workmanship guarantee (member). Repair Care Dry Flex 4 sill and box-frame splices carry a 10-year guarantee under our Level 3 certification, and we hold £5,000,000 liability cover with Hiscox.
